British Virgin Islands (January 17, 2012) — Cibus Global, a pioneering plant trait development firm, announced today that it is expanding its European operations with the addition of two new senior employees. Tony Moran has been named Vice President of International Development, and comes to Cibus after working for some of the leading companies in the crop protection industry. Carlo Broos, who joins Cibus with significant industry and accounting experience, will become group finance manager for the company’s international operations.

“With impressive business-savvy and decades of experience in the crop protection industry, Tony and Carlo are both natural fits for our company,” said LaDon Johnson, CFO, Cibus Global and President, Cibus International. “They bring significant expertise and will become integral members of our team as we continue to expand our partnerships, develop new crop traits and build our global operations.”

Tony Moran
Most recently, Mr. Moran spent seven years with the pharmaceutical company Pfizer where he served as the director of portfolio and project management. Previously, with Zeneca Agrochemicals and Syngenta AG, he held a range of technical and leadership roles and was responsible for taking products from research to launch and covering every aspect of national and international product development and scientific in-market support.

In his new position, Mr. Moran will be responsible for coordinating, managing and overseeing all activities relating to product and commercial development for all non-U.S. territories in addition to analyzing new business opportunities for the company’s revolutionary RTDS technology.

Mr Moran currently resides in the UK and holds a masters degree in Applied Biology from the University of Cambridge.

Carlo Broos
Mr. Broos arrives at Cibus after spending over six years at Syngenta, where he was most recently the head of finance services for Syngenta’s operations in Western Europe, Central Europe and Africa/Middle East. Prior to his employment at Syngenta, Mr. Broos was an audit manager and consultant at Deloitte in the Netherlands for seven years before becoming the group controller at the Advanta Group, where he reported directly to the group CFO.

Mr. Broos currently resides in the Antwerp area of Belgium, and is a certified public accountant with a postdoctoral degree from Tilburg University in the Netherlands.

About Cibus Global

Cibus Global (www.cibus.com) develops advantageous crop traits with far-reaching implications in agriculture, alternative energy and product development.  Through its proprietary Rapid Trait Development System (RTDSTM), Cibus creates traits in a directed way with more precision than traditional breeding techniques and without the introduction of foreign genetic material.  RTDS has proven itself in the laboratory with several different applications, as well as in initial field trials of Cibus’ first commercial crop, canola.  Cibus’ products will be brought to market through strategic, crop-specific partnerships.
